The iPhone 16 is coming, with a planned launch in fall 2024. Even though it’s only been half a year since the iPhone 15 series was introduced, it’s already time to look ahead to what Apple has to offer next year. Here are the biggest iPhone 16 rumors and expectations!

iPhone 16 Release Date

The iPhone 16 series is poised to succeed the iPhone 15 models, with an expected announcement in September 2024 and a release later in the fall. Get ready for a fall full of exciting new Apple innovations and upgrades!

iPhone 16 Series Models and Sizes

Apple is reportedly planning to release four new iPhones again, with the Pro models reportedly featuring slightly larger displays. Here are the expected models and their sizes:

iPhone 16 : 6.1 inch
iPhone 16 Plus : 6.7 inch
iPhone 16 Pro : 6.3 inches (0.2 inches larger than its predecessor)
iPhone 16 Pro Max : 6.9 inches (0.2 inches larger than its predecessor)

In addition, there are rumors about an extra luxury model: the iPhone 16 Ultra. This would be equipped with an improved camera, a larger screen and other advanced functions. This rumor also circulated last year for the iPhone 15 Ultra, which was never released.

New Capture Button

According to insider information from Weibo user Instant Digital, the iPhone 16 will reportedly feature a new "Capture Button." This touch-sensitive button, placed below the power button, will make it easier to take photos and videos without opening the camera app. It's also possible that the button will act as a shortcut to other camera functions.

Connections

Starting with the iPhone 15 series, Apple will only use USB-C ports, and this will also apply to the iPhone 16 series, in accordance with European Commission guidelines.

New Colors

Rumors have it that the iPhone 16 Pro (Max) will get two new colors: yellow and gray titanium, joining the existing natural, blue, white, and black titanium.

Design Changes
